
Electronics gadgets and health apps were proven to have a positive effect on the health of users, according to this 549-page report. What they called consumer health informatics (HIT) improves the health care process, especially regarding adherence to medication regimes and to ensure successful treatments. Just as importantly, none of the 146 studies found any evidence of harm coming to patients as a result of misinformation or other negative effects.
