A hackathon will challenge programmers to create business apps by pairing hackers with veteran software engineers starting Monday April 30th during the RallyON 2012 Conference. Rally Software, which aids enterprises to build better software, will match hackers with ustomers like HP, Intel and SAS to create apps for the Rally platform. Each of the new apps will be made available through Rally's partnerships with GitHub and StackExchange. Only a few slots are left for hackers, who must be Rally Software customers.

Here is what Rally Software says about the hackathon: At RallyON 2012, we will feature a customer Hack-a-Thon where you will pair with a Rally Software engineer and build a custom Rally App. Be among the first to receive technical training on our new platform, preview our product enhancements, and develop apps using our new AppSDK 2.0 and Lookback API. At the end of the two and a half days in Boulder, you will demo your new app to conference attendees and be eligible to win prizes awarded to the top team.
The Hack-a-Thon caters directly to engineers and developers who want to roll up their sleeves and dive in with Rally engineers. To maintain integrity and consistency in the process, we are limiting this portion of the conference to 15 registrants. We only have 5 spots left! Those considering attending should be proficient in JavaScript and HTML and have a desire to customize Rally to meet an Agile project management or process customization need. Please consider registering soon to reserve your spot!
