Micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) chips have bounced back from recessionary pressures by returning to the double-digit growth they experienced before the recession. Here is what EETimes says about the growing MEMS market: Propelled by strong sales of mobile handsets, gaming controllers, digital cameras and other consumer electronics devices, the micro-electro-mechanical (MEMS) market will return to double-digit growth in 2010 after two years of decline, according to market research firm iSuppli Corp. The total MEMS market will be worth about $6.5 billion, up more than 11 percent from last year and nearly as high as its historic peak in 2007, according to iSuppli (El Segundo, Calif.).
